Phoenix Cranes worked with The Miller Group to install a temporary bridge north of Pickle Lake. The temporary bridge was required as we prepared to install the brand new RTAC bridge. This new bridge supplied by Lafarge Concrete was erected in two phases. The precast, prestressed concrete box girders used for this important project were some of the largest ever in Western Canada. Once in place Phoenix removed the temporally bridge. This new bridge will accommodate heavier loads and far safer access into the Pickle Lake area. Pickle lake is referred to as Ontario’s Last Frontier. It is in the northern part of the province in a beautiful area known for its fishing, hunting, sight seeing and many local festivals.
As their tourism department says: Why not drive to the end of the road and see what’s there!
